Gary D. Ruberti. Sr., a dedicated individual to his family, profession, and hobbies, passed away on January 16th, 2024. He was surrounded by his loving family during his final moments. Born on October 12th, 1941, in Gloversville, NY. Gary had a remarkable life filled with notable accomplishments and cherished relationships.
Gary’s professional career spanned several decades, during which he made significant contributions to the success of the State of New York and the country's teachers laws. His dedication and work ethic earned him the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
In his leisure time, Gary was known for his love of skiing and golf. He possessed a remarkable talent for many sports including wrestling and football, where he coached both sports at Cornell University.
Among Gary's proudest accomplishments was the birth of his son Gary D. Ruberti II.
Gary leaves behind a profound impact on those who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend. He is survived by his wife: Mary C. Ruberti, son Gary D. Ruberti II and daughter-in-law Samantha Ruberti, grandchildren Sterling and Mariana of Milton, VT.
In addition to his immediate family, Gary had strong connections with his siblings Michael, Dick, and Joanne and all of their children and grandchildren.
Gary was predeceased by his parents Ernest and Marie Ruberti and his brother Michael Ruberti.
Gary Ruberti's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be remembered for his kind heart, remarkable work ethic, and dedication to his family. The loss of this extraordinary man has left a void that can never be filled.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery on New Scotland Road in New Salem.
