Obituary of Martin E. Keller

Martin “Marty” E. Keller, 85, of Voorheesville, NY passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 surrounded by his family. He was born on February 3, 1939 in Albany, NY. Martin honorably served in the U.S. Navy onboard the U.S.S. Wisconsin. Martin started Martin E. Keller Roofing Co. in 1971 where he proudly operated his company for decades. Among many popular jobs he worked, he was most proud of the Egg and the Harvard Library.  His roofing legacy lives on in his children and grandchildren.

Late in life, Martin enjoyed employment at Home Depot where he could share his many years of experience and opinions. Martin enjoyed collecting coins, caring for his flower gardens around the farm and spending time with his family. 

Survivors include his wife and partner of 37 years, Bonnie L. Keller of Voorheesville; daughter, Monica K. Schwenk (Chris) of Guilderland, NY; son, Kristian M. Keller of Duanesburg, NY; granddaughters, Daniele M. Vanderveer and Julia G. Keller; grandsons, August C. Schwenk and Kenneth M. Keller; great granddaughter, Madelyn R. Fahrenkopf; sister, Helen Desantis-Graves; step-son Jeff Fountain (Lisa); step-daughter Tracie Jordan and many nieces, nephews and extended family.  Martin is predeceased by his parents, Ernest Keller and Mary Livingston; brother, James “Jimmy” Keller and sister, Alice Keller Quinlan.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
