Obituary of Eleanor Marie Withers

Colonie - Eleanor M. Withers, 90, of Colonie died Thursday, September 20, 2012 at the Guilderland Center Nursing Home. Born in Troy, Eleanor was the daughter of the late Grace Bell and George Robinson. She was a graduate of Lansingburgh High School and she worked for 30 years as an Executive Secretary for Grand Union in Waterford. Eleanor enjoyed creating floral art pictures and was very involved with her family. She loved learning about the ancestry of her family as well. Eleanor was the wife of the late Charles Wood, Robert Weseman, William VanDerVolgen and Robert Withers; mother of Sandra Norgrove-Bourdon of Guilderland, Robert Weseman (Lanette) of Clifton Park and Richard Weseman (Mary Lou) of Colonie; stepmother of Robert Withers (Nancy) of Lakeland, FL; sister of the late Edward Robinson, Lucille Bloss and Florine Brunick; grandmother of Robert Norgrove (Melissa), Lisa Geddes (Mark), Christopher Norgrove, Laura Norgrove, Brandon Weseman (Lillian Furlow-Weseman), Karie Irish (Brent) and Christina Petty (Michael); and great-grandmother of Madison, Samantha, Julia, Emily, Bryce, Brianna, Kevin, Ian, Clayton Jackson, Georgia Wray, Kayla, Michael, Brooke and Conner. Funeral 9:00 o'clock Tuesday morning from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie and at 10:00 o'clock at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 49 Killean Park, Colonie. Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
