Obituary of Bruce Allen Finch
Ocala, Florida - Bruce Allen Finch passed peacefully on March 12, 2022 after a lengthy illness, in Ocala Florida. He was born on April 29, 1963, to Dorothy (Hildenbrandt)Finch, deceased in January 1970 and Leland C. Finch, deceased in 1981, in Albany New York. He is survived by his son, Nicholas A. Finch; a brother, Leland C. Finch his wife, Laura (Klopfer) Finch and a sister, Dawn (Finch) Trigg and her husband, Lance Trigg, MD, along with many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. He was raised by his grandparents, Gertrude (Hildenbrandt) Glasser and Robert Glasser in North Port Florida. He was part of the first graduating class of Lemon Bay High School in Englewood Florida, in 1981, where he was on the wrestling and baseball teams. He studied Hospitality Management at the University of Florida. He married Anne Keevan Finch and they had their son Nicholas. He later married Debbie Finch Kazel.
Bruce worked his entire career in the hospitality industry and achieved the positions of sales manager and sales director at various hotels. He began his career in the Florida Keys and Homestead Florida, and later, moved to Virginia and Rhode Island, where he enjoyed working in teams to promote hotels to professional organizations and groups. He was passionate about his work and enjoyed his family, fishing, and golf. He was very social and tried to bring joy to everyone he met.
There will be a celebration of Bruce’s life at Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie at 11 a.m., May 20, 2022 for family and friends with interment at Memory Gardens, 983 Watervliet-Shaker Rd, Colonie where he will be buried with his mother.
