Obituary of Janice Adele Blakley
New Scotland - Janice Adele Blakley (formerly Mach) of New Scotland passed away unexpectedly at the age of 58 on Thursday, December 27, 2018. She was born on December 6, 1960, in East Cleveland, OH, to Charles Alexander Mach and Constance Jean (Bold) Mach Foy. She was a graduate of Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School, attended the Lake Placid School of Art and went on to graduate from the Europa School of Cosmetology.
Janice had a passion for art, photographing and painting old buildings in particular. When she was not busy with various clubs she spent her time working outside, gardening, caring for animals, watching movies, reading and attending church. She genuinely cherished time spent with her children and grandchildren and had a big heart for helping others.
Janice will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 30 years, Alfred Allerton Blakley, Jr; her two children, Carla Lynn Denn (Daniel) of Hadley and Alfred Allerton Blakley, III (Kristyn) of New Scotland; her two grandchildren, Julia and Marcus Blakley; her two brothers, Charles Alexander Mach, Jr. (Marilyn) of Galway and Thomas Frederick Mach of Brooksville, FL; and her extended family and many friends.
A Celebration of Jan’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Delmar Presbyterian Church, 585 Delaware Ave., Delmar, NY 12054 with the Reverend Karen S. Pollan officiating. For those who wish, donations in memory of Jan to the Delmar Presbyterian Church would be appreciated.
