Obituary of Robert T. Mudge

Voorheesville - Robert T. Mudge, SGM, Retired, age 86, died Wednesday, December 26, 2018.  Born in Coeymans, Robert was the son of the late George and Alice VanWormer Mudge.  Robert enlisted in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and retired in 1992 with a combined 42 years of active duty and reserve service.  He was a school teacher for several school districts and retired in 1986 after 25 years of teaching for the Albany City School District.  Robert was a member of the American Legion Post 1493 in Voorheesville, Bethlehem Elks, Twin Rivers Boy Scout Council, Albany County Conservation Alliance, APSTA, Bethlehem Sportsman Club, Elsmere Rod and Gun Club and the Turnpike Rod and Gun Club.  He also had served as Associate Director of the Altamont Fair.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Deborah Mudge of Massachusetts, Dawn Ryan of Florida and Sandra Mudge of Voorheesville; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 3, 2019 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville.  Burial will be in Grove Cemetery in Coeymans.  Calling hours will be Thursday from 11 a.m to 1 p.m., prior to the service.  For those who wish, memorial donations to the Albany County EMS, 58 Verda Ave., Clarksville, NY 12041 would be appreciated.
