Obituary of Rose M. Truiano
Colonie - Rose Urbano Truiano, 87, died Friday, October 26, 2018 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Born in Albany, Rose was a graduate of Albany High School and had lived on Frederick Ave. in Colonie since 1959. Rose was dedicated to her family, loved cooking, spending summers at Lake George and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
Rose died on her 61st wedding anniversary and is survived by her loving husband, Frank J. Truiano; her daughters, Donna Truiano and Nancy Collins; granddaughter, Jennifer Collins; sister, Angela VanDerLinden and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jacqueline Truiano; sister, Adrienne Thomson; and son-in-law, Stephen Collins.
Funeral 9:00 a.m. Saturday from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie and at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Dr., Loudonville. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 - 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Rose’s family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff on the Pulmonary Unit at St. Peter’s Hospital for providing the care that enabled Rose and Frank to be together during her final days.
