Obituary of Bonnie A. Hughes
Bonnie A. (Matott) Hughes, 61, died Monday, September 10th, 2018. Born May 11th, 1957, Bonnie was the daughter of the late Belva LaDuke and William Matott Sr. She was raised in Voorheesville, was a graduate of Voorheesville Central High School and for the past 22 years, she lived in her home in Preston Hollow. For the past 2 years, Bonnie worked for Harmony Group Capital LLC in Albany and for the 76 Diner in Latham. Bonnie loved her family and friends. She enjoyed cooking and especially loved baking; she was also an avid hunter.
Other survivors include Lisa Matott, Kandi Matott, John Barry, close friend Deborah Brown (Robert) and John Barber (Terry). Nieces and nephews Heather Matott (Joseph Korkimoz), Haley Schager (James); Stephanie Matott, Elizabeth Matott, William Matott III (Audrey), Robert Matott; Matthew Matott, Teresa Moery (Nathan), Samantha Matott, C.J. Hamlin (Vladislava), Ryan Hamlin (Tristan), Joshua Hamlin (Madalyn), John, Nick and Mike Barber. Grand-nieces/nephews Liam and Adam LeBlanc, Oliver Schager, Olivia and Nikita Matott, C.J. Jr., Daniel and Aleksia Hamlin; Ava and Layla Hamlin; Dawn, Emerson and Watson Hamlin, and several cousins. She is predeceased by her brothers Robert Matott and William Matott Jr.
Friends may visit with Bonnie’s family from 1 - 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville. A prayer service will be held at 3:30 p.m. A reception will immediately follow at the Voorheesville Rod & Gun Club.
