Obituary of Irene S. Jack

Guilderland- A beautiful soul is never forgotten, Irene S. Jack, 80, entered eternal life Wednesday, August 15th, 2018 at Saint Peter’s Hospital. She passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Irene was born on August 26th, 1937 in Grandville NY and was the daughter to Howard and Sylvia Hutchins. Irene grew up in Schenectady NY. She later met her beloved husband of 55 years Charles A. Jack Jr. whom she adored. She worked at the Clardon Restaurant on Fuller Road for many years, which was owned and operated by the Jack Family. Jack and Irene then resided in Guilderland for over 50 years.

Irene cherished working with her two daughters’ at A Touch of Country Florist where she has met many loved ones, created many memories and formed many friendships. She made the world a better place, and touched everyone that she knew. Irene had a heart of gold, a loving smile, and a personality that will be remembered by all. She was beautiful inside and out. Her family was her most prized possession. She enjoyed going for rides through the countryside, cooking for family and friends, and most importantly being with her family. Irene also loved spending the winter months in Florida with her husband Jack at their home in Daytona Beach. She loved life.

         Irene is survived by her daughters, Susan Irwin (Steven) and Jacqueline Jack; grandchildren, Charlie Tymchyn, and Janelle Irwin; brothers, Howard Hutchins (Madelyn) and Jimmy Hutchins; brother in laws, Richard Jack and Frederick Jack; great grand children, Emma Rose and Sadie Irene and her beloved dog, Ruby; along with several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her husband Charles A. Jack Jr. and her brother Leslie Hutchins.

Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Christ the King Church in the chapel, 20 Sumter Ave. in Guilderland. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, 10 a.m. at Christ the King Church. Entombment will follow at Most Holy Redeemer in Niskayuna. A special thank you to Dr. Dennis Rassias, Dr. Christian Gasson, Dr. Stephen Wrzesinski, and all of the staff at Saint Peter’s Hospital, especially nurse Patty for all of the help and support you provided.
