Mr. Teuten was always a joy to be around when I was in high school. Our class would cheer when we were lucky enough to have him! He would substitute teach for Señor Streifer's 11th and 12th grade Spanish class. I never knew he lived in Venezuela - no wonder he was so good at Spanish!
Great job on the obituary. Take time for yourselves to heal the best way you know how.

With the deepest sympathy to the Teuten family, Bob and Frank
David, Señor Teuten, was a champion of all causes, all people, all the time. He never gave up, lit up every classroom and social space with his excitement and love of people. He served unselfishly in every activity I ever had the honor to observe or enjoy.
We first became acquainted when he served on the Voorheesville School Board and sought to help grow the Foreign Language Program. Later he subtitute taught in all disciplines in the District. David supported our overseas and incoming student exchange programs, and he chaperoned with us to Valladolid, Spain.
He was universally fair, interested in everyone, recognizant of everyone’s strengths and contributions, and shared his contagious smile and big heart with all.
Frank and I had the greatest pleasure traveling with Marguerite and David on some of our foreign trips. Those were, indeed, very special times.
He was a master of “Bring out the Teuten and bring out the BEST”.
May you rest in peace, dear friend Dave, and know that you live on because of the innumerable contributions you made to us all. We love you.
Muchísimas gracias por todo.
No se te olvidará jamás- You’ll never be forgotten.
Un abrazo, Bob

My deepest sympathies and prayers for your loss. He was a remarkable man that often substituted for me- respected by students and faculty alike. His graduation speech will always be remembered by me as humorous and heartfelt. I will miss his funny stories and debates on history in the lunchroom. May perpetual light shine upon him.

SO sorry for this huge loss to a family and community. My days were always brightened by a visit from Dave - always a kind word and a big smile. Tommy enjoyed it when he was the "sub" at VHS. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. Love, The Pasquali Family
