Obituary of Marie C. LoPonto

COLONIE - Marie C. LoPonto, 79, passed away on Friday, October 27, 2017.  Born in Albany on March 12, 1938, she was the daughter of the late John and Effie (Murphy) McGloine; the beloved wife of the late Vincent P. LoPonto.  Marie was a graduate of Vincentian Institute and Maria College.  Marie spent most of her nursing career working for Eden Park Nursing Home.  She was a selfless, compassionate and a loving person. She enjoyed spending time with family, boating, bicycling and gardening.  Marie was predeased by her sister Shirley Hausler.  She is survived by her daughters Patricia (Rick) Hall and Ann (Michael) Crislip; grandchildren Daniel (Sarah) McPeck, Matthew McPeck and finance Brittany Helmer, Sandy Hall; four great grandchildren and her sister Helen Coyne along with several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff and residents at The Loving Home for Mom or Dad at Fredericks for their kindness and care.  A special thank you to Gregory and Katie Pierre-Louis and Dr. Mina Sun for their loving, compassionate care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend graveside services at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Ave., Colonie.
