Obituary of Jean Micheli Rooney

New Scotland - Jean Micheli Rooney, 85, of New Scotland died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital.  Born in Albany, Jean had lived in the Albany area most of her life and in Tuscon, AZ for 15 years before moving back to New Scotland.  She worked for 14 years as an office manager for William Oberheim, M.D. before retiring in 1987.
Jean was the wife of the late Louis Micheli and the late John F. Rooney; mother of Karen Micheli Bouchey (Melvin), Stephen Micheli (Mary) and David Micheli (Theresa); grandmother of Amanda Warzek(Jim) and Stephanie Lineberry (Craig), Jaclyn and Sydney Micheli and Erin Dawson (Will), Mandy Bailey and Darla and Louis Micheli  ; great-grandmother of 7; sister of the late Gwendolyn Busch, Pauline Card and Forest Caple.  She is also survived by eight stepchildren and many step grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial mass at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at St. Matthew’s Church, Mountainview St., Voorheesville.  All other services will be private at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2 Pine West Plaza, Albany, NY 12205.
