Voorheesville - Margret "Peggy" Fuente was welcomed into the arms of the Lord Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Born February 14, 1932 in Amsterdam, NY, she was the daughter of Louis and Beatrice De La Fuente. Margret was a long time resident of Rotterdam, NY and was employed by General Electric where she retired with 30 years of service. She was an avid fan of country music and had visited Nashville, TN and Myrtle Beach, SC on several occasions. Shortly after retirement, she had moved to Voorheesville, NY where she spent much time with her great nieces and nephews for whom she greatly cherished. She is survived by her loving sister Angelina (Anthony) Di Virgilio; nephews, Louis (Cynthia), Anthony (Deborah) and Aldo (Gemma) Di Virgilio; and several great nieces and nephews. Other family members include Aldo Di Virgilio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, September 7, 2012 in St. Matthew's Church, Mountainview St., Voorheesville. Friends may also visit at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville Friday morning from 8:30 - 9:00. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Fort Johnson, NY. For those who wish, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 1 Penny Lane, Latham, NY 12110 would be appreciated.
