Obituary of Carol Ann Roche

Loudonville - Carol Ann Roche, 72, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Esther Spalt and Judge Harold E. Koreman. She had lived in Loudonville for the past 48 years. Carol was a graduate of the Academy of Holy Names and Albany Medical Nursing School. She was employed as a nurse in the Albany Medical Center P.I.C.U as well as many years as a private duty nurse. She retired as a Clerk at the Albany County Family Court. Her passion was her volunteer work at La Leche League , Meals on Wheels and FISH. She also enjoyed time outdoors gardening, camping, kayaking, hiking and any trips to the Adirondacks, Cape Cod, Maine and visiting family in the Pacific Northwest. Other hobbies included crafting, restoring old furniture and collecting antiques. Carol had a love for all animals, especially her golden retrievers. Survivors include her husband of 51 wonderful years, Edward S. Roche, Sr.; her children, Karen Lechner (Stephen), Lisa Capuano (Stephen), Edward S. Roche, Jr.(Sandy), Michelle Marchand (Steve Witowski) and Peter Roche (Meghan); her grandchildren, Charlotte and Derek Lechner, Zachary and Rachael Capuano, Katie and Aiden Roche, Johnathan , Christopher and Ethan Marchand and Owen Roche; her sisters, Diane Fitzgerald and Marybeth Koreman. Friends are invited to call at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie onFriday from 4 - 7 p.m. All other services will be private at the convenience of the family.
