Doren, Betty R. (LaFlair) 86 passed away on May 10, 2016 with her loving family at her side.
Betty was born on June 2, 1929 in Ogdensburg, NY to John and Alma LaFlair. She worked as a nurse's assistant at the State Hospital in Bay Shore, Long Island before becoming a full time homemaker. She cherished her family. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and going to garage sales.
Betty was predeceased by her husband Rodger Doren. She is survived by her four sons Stephen (Vicky) Doren, Mark (Elizabeth) Doren, Sabine Doren and Bryan Doren, five grandsons Jason, Nicholas, Erik, Brandon and Andrew, five great-grandchildren Brandon, Jr., Kayden, Alannah, Christian and Bentley. She is also predeceased by two grandsons, Brenden Doren and Aaron Doren.
Special thanks to Betty's home care aides, LaShonda, Shamila and Samaya for the wonderful care they gave Betty. Their compassion and dedication were extraordinary.
Betty was a very loving, caring and giving person, and her family will miss her dearly.
Private services for the family were held on Friday.
