Obituary of Paul Francis Denninger

Colonie - Paul F. Denninger, 55, of Ahl Ave. died Friday, April 8, 2016 at his home. Born in Albany, Paul was the son of Peter and Martha Schmitt Denninger of Colonie. Paul received his Bachelors Degree from SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica and was the President of his student government class of 1984. He had certification as a NYS real estate appraiser and spent his career as a certified assessor for several municipalities, including Duanesburg, Princetown and Pittstown. Most recently, he was employed by the New York State Department of Transportation at the Colonie office on Wolf Rd. Paul loved the Adirondacks, boating, fishing and most outdoor sports. He always enjoyed spending time with his family at Saranac Lake. In addition to his parents, Paul is survived by his sister, Mary Ann Denninger of Voorheesville; brother, David P. Denninger of Colonie; uncle, Alfred Schmitt; aunt and uncle, Frances and Frank Schmitt; and several cousins along with many lifelong loyal friends. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Dr., Loudonville. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 - 7 p.m. at Christ Our Light Church.
