Obituary of Jane F. Heim

Albany - Jane Meehan Cerutti Heim, 89, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 at the Teresian House Nursing Home. Born in Mineville, NY, Jane was the daughter of the late Madeline Greanough and Thomas Meehan. She moved to Albany where she worked for the telephone company and attended business school. She married her late husband Paul Cerutti and raised her family in the city. In 1967 she married the late Robert C. Heim. Jane went to work for the Bricklayer’s Local #2 in Albany and worked there until she retired in 1983. After her retirement she volunteered as a receptionist at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany. She was a member of the Columbiettes and a parishioner of St. Teresa of Avila and Mater Christi Church. Jane was the mother of Michael Cerutti (Sandra) of Marco Island, FL and Katherine Taylor (John) of Argyle; sister of the late Beatrice, Bernice, Elizabeth, Mae, John, Thomas and Geraldine; grandmother of Paul, Matthew, Michele, Angela, David, Jeffery and Andrew. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 in the Chapel at the Teresian House Nursing Home, 200 Washington Ave. Ext., Albany, NY 12203. Friends may also call at the nursing home from 10 - 11 a.m. Tuesday, prior to the mass.
