Obituary of Mary Irene Cochrane

Feura Bush - Mary Irene Cochrane passed away peacefully at age 83 in Cary, NC on June 1st, 2012. Originally from the Bronx, she met her late husband Robert Cochrane at a dance in Central Park. They later moved to the Albany area, finally settling in Feura Bush. Mary helped her husband run their business Cochrane Electric before his passing in 1976. She then worked as a bookkeeper before becoming a Social Worker for Albany County. Once 'retired', her full-time job was helping with her six grandchildren. Whether it was changing them or helping with homework or simply listening to how their day went, she was never too busy for them and loved each one dearly. She is survived by her sons Bob (Hawaii) and Doug (NY), daughter Tracy (NC) and son-in-law Greg as well as six wonderful grandchildren who referred to her as 'MareMare': Emily, Doug, and Molly Cochrane along with Garrett, Skylar and Sabrina Raynor. We will all remember Mare Mare as a loving and peaceful soul. And even though we can not see her, it does not mean she isn't with us now. She is in a better place where she can breathe better and be perfectly healthy all over again. It was her time to go and she does not have any pain or struggle. She lives…PEACEFULLY.
