Obituary of Philip J. DePasquale

Voorheesville - Philip Joseph DePasquale died Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Community Hospice of Albany Inn at St. Peter's Hospital comforted by his family and sheltered in the loving thoughts and remembrances of friends. He was born July 11, 1944 in Miami, FL to Philip Dominic and Carmella Labriola DePasquale. Philip was predeceased by a brother who died in infancy. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Jill Donahue DePasquale. They joined hands at 12 and hearts forever after. Together they raised four children: Megan Berben (Harold), Jason DePasquale (Laura), Bridget Morabito (Richard) and Kate Novitsky (Gregory). Survivors also include a sister Lorainne Elser (John); a brother-in-law Jay Donahue (JoAnn); and nephews Christian and Ryan Donahue and Stephen Judy. Mr. "D" to most and Papa to his cherished grandchildren who shared life and a porch at Lake George every third week in July : Macy Kate, Olivia, Brett, Ava, Jenna, Samantha, Sophie and Maxwell Philip. Love never wavered by what you said or what you did but strengthened by who you are. Strong family, dear friends, three amazing daughters and a phone call every Sunday at 9:00 o'clock mattered most. Philip would need noted that he is also predeceased by Beau, Bummer, Judd, Moose and Big Al. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2012 at St. Matthew's Church, Mountainview St., Voorheesville. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in St. James Cemetery in Naugatuck, CT. Calling hours will be Friday from 6 - 9 p.m. in the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville.
