Obituary of Theresa V. Drake

Colonie - Theresa Loguidice Drake, 96, of Fuller Rd. died Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Albany Memorial Hospital. Born in Colonie, Theresa had lived on Fuller Rd. all of her life. She worked for 20 years at the New York State Department of Motor Vehicle, retiring as a Senior Clerk in 1975. She was a parishioner of Christ Our Light Church in Loudonville, a longtime parishioner of the former Our Lady of Mercy Church in Colonie, a member of the Columbiettes and a member of the CBA Mother's Association. Theresa's greatest joy was her children and cherished grandchildren and she spent many hours sitting in her garage with her three sisters, just enjoying life. Also, she enjoyed cooking, gardening and the travelling she did with her late husband. Theresa was the wife of 56 years of the late Ralph H. Drake; mother of Carol Ann (William) Goodwin of Westmere and Ralph H. (Linda) Drake, Jr. of Colonie; grandmother of Teresa Goodwin, Ralph H. Drake, III, William Drake and Elizabeth Drake; sister of the late Jennie Baumann, Constance Bendell, Mary Eats and Anthony Loguidice. She is also survived by several neices and nephews. Funeral 8:30 Monday morning from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie and at 9:30 at Christ Our Light Church, 1 Maria Dr., Loudonville. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be Sunday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Theresa's family would like to extend a special thank you to the nursing staff at the Albany Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care given to her.
