Colonie - Vera "Bo" Selig entered into God's hands on Saturday, February 5, 2011 surrounded by family and friends. Born April 14, 1915 in Glens Falls, she was the daughter of Jos. B. and Vanita Williams. Bo was predeceased by her husband Lawrence F. Selig and son David L. Selig. She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Elaine Selig; grandchildren, Michael (Bobbie) Selig, Melissa (Steve) Alger, Christopher Selig and Cynthia Westbrook; also several great-grandchildren.
For 20 years Bo was a freelance feature writer for the Albany Evening News and the Knickerbocker News. She also worked with her huaband and son in Larry's Express, Inc. Bo was an avid knitter and crafts person and past president of the Colonie Columbiettes. She was a communicant of St. Pius X Church and was an honoree of a Senior Lifetime Achievement Award.
Funeral 8:00 o'clock Thursday morning from the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, Colonie and at 9:00 o'clock at St. Pius X Church, Crumite Rd., Loudonville. Burial will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery in Colonie. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
