Obituary of John Mikulik

Buffalo, NY - John Mikulik,50,of Buffalo died January 4, 2011 at his place of
residence. John was born in the Bronx on March 17, 1960, son of Martin
and Mary Mikulik, brother of Edward and Martin. John grew up in
Voorheesville, NY. At the age of 17, after his father's death, John
resided with his Aunts, Anna Dobley and Mary Schneider, during his senior
year at Clayton A. Bouton High School. He graduated from SUNY Albany and
went on to further education elsewhere. John had several different
employments. Recently, he was a special investigator for the Erie County
Department of Social Services.
John is survived by his wife, Cindi, and
his beloved daughter Elianna. He will be dearly missed by them, his
"adopted family"- Rev. and Mrs. Sherwood E. Carver, their daughter, Diane
Kendall (husband, Dan, and sons, Michael and Kyle), their son, David
Carver(wife, Karen, and children, Jonathan and Sarah), his co-workers and
many other friends.
John will be remembered for his intelligence, generosity, kindness, his
great sense of humor, his big grin, belly laughs, and bear hugs.
A memorial service will be held on February 6 at 1 p.m., after a
gathering time from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Reilly and Son Funeral Home, Voorheesville.
Following the service, at 2 p.m.,
there will be a reception at the fellowship hall of the First United
Methodist Church of Voorheesville at 68 Maple Ave. Interment will be held
at a later date.
