Obituary of Thomas E. Krug

Voorheesville - Thomas E. Krug, Sr., a longtime resident of Voorheesville, died peacefully on Monday, January 12, 2015, at the Rosewood Garden in East Greenbush. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late John F. Krug, Sr. and Loretta McCarthy Krug. He was a graduate of CBA in Albany and was a veteran of the U.S.Army, who served during the Korean Conflict. Thomas was a toll collector for the NYS Thruway, retiring in 1995. He was the husband of the late Patricia McCormick Krug. Survivors include his children; Lynn Patricia Flint (Gerry) of Schodack, Debbie Schultz of Altamont, Thomas E. Krug, Jr. (fiancee, Stacy Krokowski) of Rensselaer and Laurie A. Krug ( John Strasser) of Voorheesville; his grandchildren, Autumn M. Schultz, Chelsea L. Williams and Nicholas Flint; and four great grandchildren. He was also the brother of Karen VanDenburgh of Colonie and the late John F. Krug. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 16, at St. Matthew's Church, 25 Mountainview St. in Voorheesville. Relatives and friends are invited and may also call at the Reilly & Son Funeral Home, 9 Voorheesville Ave., Voorheesville Thursday from 4 - 7 p.m. The family would like to thank the Rosewood Garden staff and Rensselaer Hospice for their compassionate care of Thomas.
