Growing up with Bill as my best friend, I was often at the Weaver home, but my two key memories of Mr. Weaver were first, he taking Bill and me to see the original Poseidon Adventure (1972?) when we were still in junior high. I remember going for Ice cream floats in Latham after. It was late, he didn't have to do that.
Second, is the epic trip by car to Dallas when Bill started his first job at TI. I still tell the story of your dad, who I've nick-named "The Road Warrior". We left Albany at 2:00pm on a Monday and were in Dallas on that Wednesday at 7:00pm, including a half-day stop at Opryland in Nashville! He drove most of the way too. Dallas was "dry" back then, so we had to buy you a "membership" to have wine with our steak dinner that night.

I never actually got to meet Quinton, I feel like I knew him. I read the book he wrote about his life. His family, his military experience and his travels with family. I also have been told many stories about Quinton from his loving daughter Karen. He was a loving father to karen and from the stories she's told me he was a hard working man with a great sense of humor. I'm sad that I never got to meet him in person. I'm sending prayer for his family and friends.

Let me start by saying. Quint never met a stranger , and once you met him he became your friend and would do anything for you. I know this because he helped me in so many ways. Quint was like a father to me, he would always have a lesson or advice to help me . Quint cared about everyone he meet.
I remember one of the first times we met Karen wanted me to go and look at at truck she was interested in buying. Just so happened Agnes and Quint were in for their visit so Quint wanted to go along so we could look at the truck together. We went in Agnes nice clean car (looked brand new ) we got there and after test driving and pulling in the mans drive we seen a cow buried head first in mud and cow manure. After look we saw it had gotten its head stuck in this big wooden feeder i told the owner to get a saw and we would cut it out. Well we managed to get the cow loose but in doing this I fell face first into the manure and was covered. I looked at Quint and he was laughing and laughing. I thought oh no what about Agnes car he said it was a long walk back to Buffalo . The guy we bought the truck from gave me some clothes so I changed and put my dirty ones in a bag. All the way home he would look over at me and sniff and say boy you smell like cow $^%$ and laugh. He always made good of a bad situation . I will truly miss him , I think that anyone who was lucky enough to have met him will miss him. He was a blessing to many family and friends.
I only hope to meet him again someday. Thank you Quint for being a friend and accepting me into your wonderful family.

Forever in my heart. You will always be with me. Guiding me by the example of the father you were to me. Your faith and encouragement, your help and guidance and unconditional love. I am the most grateful person on earth to have had you as a father. I promise to keep you with me, always and forever.

Sadly, my time knowing Quintin Weaver was brief, but he always made me feel welcome in the family. He was a happy man with an interesting and impressive life, who devoted his life to his family. We will always remember him that way and keep him in our hearts. May he rest in peace.

Grandson of Quintin H. Weaver posted a condolence

Finding the right words to sum up the life of a man as wonderful as my grandfather is a difficult task. He radiated love and kindness wherever he went and had a talent for bringing the best out of those around him. He was a man who never forgot his humble beginnings and remained grounded despite his many successes in life. He found joy in simple things, like fishing and fixing cars, and always had a smile on his face whenever he was surrounded by family. He was an architect and entrepreneur who started his own construction company, building not just structures but also lasting relationships with those he worked with. He was deeply loved by all his family, and his passing has left a void that can never be filled. We take comfort in knowing that you are now at peace. You will always be in our hearts, and your legacy will live on through us. Thank you for being my grandfather. We love you.
